Win 11 Medals

The Jason
Morris Judo Club
won 11 medals on Sunday including 5 gold at the annual Tech
Judo Invitational. Seth
Woosely (6) started
the gold medal rush going 3-0 in the boys 6-8 yr old lightweight
division. 12 year old Christie
Woosley moved
up 2 age divisions and won gold in the 15-16 year old middle weight
division going 3-0 including a taio for the gold that was the throw
of the tournament. Micah
Woosley (14) matched
the efforts of his younger siblings going 3-0 to win the boys 13-14
yr old brown belt divison winning both of his matches by ippon with
osoto. Burnt Hills High Junior,
Nick Delpopolo (16)
won the Senior mens black belt division going 3-0 in the 73kg
category. Burnt Hills Sophmore, Kyle
Vashkulat
(15)
rounded out the gold medals going 3-0 in the senior mens 90kg
division.
Jonathan Woosely (10) went
2-1 to win a silver medal in the boys 80-90 lb division. Jemaine
Jarvis (17)
went
3-1 winning silver in the senior mens 60kg division.
James O'Brien (8) went
2-2 winning bronze in the 8-9 yr old 70-80 lb division. 5 year
old Matt
O'Brien
competed
well in his very first tournament going 2-2 to win bronze in the 4-5
year old pee wee division. Josh
Woosely (16) rounded
out the medal count competing well in the senior mens 60kg
division going 2-2 earning bronze.
Mike
O'Brien
entered in the Senior mens 90kg division and fought well but did not
place. Coach Nick
Kossor
stated "All the kids fought great today and should be very
proud of their performances."
