Real Judo
is the Real Deal! I am a Judo Instructor in the
Midwest who subscribes my whole club to Real
Judo. Who does not enjoy reading their name
in an international publication? Not only is
Real Judo a marketing, informational, and
motivational tool, Real Judo promotes
Judo!
Real Judo
as a marketing tool is used at my judo club. I
provide all annual members with a complimentary
subscription to Real Judo. The
publication is mailed to their homes, were they read
articles and look at pictures from the judo world.
This is the student “Sports Illustrated” and one of
the only ways they can see and read about
World/Olympic levels, Junior/Senior National levels
down to Beginner Judo.
As an informational
instrument, I recommend all judo instructors promote
judo any way they can. In the publication our
close-knit community receives news and information,
along with, successful techniques demonstrated by
American heroes in our sport. Real Judo
is just another way “mutual benefit and welfare”
succeeds in our sport.
One way I motivate
judoka when they are ready to compete at the Junior
Nationals is, “today you are fighting to get your
name in the book!” When the competitors register for
the Junior Nationals usually they receive a souvenir
book that contains last years results. This is a
publication that is limited to the current years’
participants. Real Judo is an
International publication that is received by a
larger judo community. Even the students who do not
compete nationally receive Real Judo.
They can read about their teammates. I convey to
everyone that even if you did not go to National,
International, or Midwest Championships they helped
by practicing and training with those who did
compete. This seems to be a spark as a coach, which
continually draws great motivation out of all the
judoka.
Promoting judo is one of
our greatest goals. Real Judo does
just that! Everyone in our sport should have the
same access to Real Judo and in this
dojo we do. I suspect if you, the sensei, looks at
Real Judo as an asset, Real Judo
will be a part of your judo.
