Albino, Blizinski and Franzese Qualify
Saratoga, NY - Jeff Albino (20), Mike Blizinski (36) and Gina Franzese (22) of the Jason Morris Judo Club qualified to compete for the Adirondack region in the Judo competition of the Empire State Games which will be in Buffalo, NY July 25-26, 2003. Albino went 2-0 in the 100kg division to lock up his spot. Albino, who took a Silver at last years Games hopes to get the Gold this time. Blizinski was 1-0 to insure the slot in the +100kg weight class. Blizinski has previously won a Gold ('99) and two Bronzes ('97 & '98) at the Empire State Games. Franzese will be making her first trip to the Games. She is originally from Washington and moved to Glenville last year from Pittsburgh, PA where she used to train. She easily won the 57kg catagory.
