JMJC Win 12 medals
North Bergen, NJ - Members of the Jason Morris Judo Club (JMJC) won a total of 12 medals including 4 Gold at the Tech Judo Invitational Judo tournament on Sunday, October 26, 2003. The JMJC also took the team title. Jeremy Liggett (14) led the way winning 2 Golds and a Bronze. He went 3-0 to win the 13-16 lightweight division then was 3-0 and to win the 60kg mens brown belt division. Liggett a freshman at Burnt Hills High School, added a Bronze in the mens 60kg weight class. Burnt Hills Sophomore, AJ Silverman (15) went 3-0 to win the 13-16 middleweight division winning all his matches by ippon. Matt Siciliano (21) took Gold in the 73kg category with a 3-0 record. Jeremy Galib (10) was sharp winning a Gold in the 9-12 lightweights going 3-0. Ronni Aragona (12) went 2-1 to win a silver in the 9-12 middleweight division and added a silver in the 13-16 heavyweights. John Schiavo (10) went 3-1 to win a silver in the 9-12 heavyweight division. Burnt Hills High Sr. Dave Chapman (17) won a silver in the 100kg weight class, Jeff Albino (21) came home with a bronze in the +100kg weight class and Laura Galib (6) won a bronze to close out the medal count. Next up for the JMJC will be the Pedro's Judo Challenge in Wakefield, MA on Sunday, November 2.
