Jeremy Liggett       Thailand, Bangkok - Hudson Valley student Jeremy Liggett posted a 3-2 record to place seventh at 66kg in the 14th Jr. Judo World Championships October 23-26, 2008, becoming the highest-ever Jr. Worlds finisher for the Glenville- based Jason Morris Judo Center (JMJC).

October 16, 2008   Martin Captures Quebec Open Gold
Hannah Martin       Montreal, QC - Glenville, NY's Jason Morris Judo Center (JMJC) placed second as a team out of over 30 teams competing at this past weekend's Quebec Open. Among the competition were experienced teams from France, Brazil, Canada and Sweden. The JMJC finished behind only Montreal's own Shidokan which is Canada's National training center.

Sept 29, 2008   ECAC TO HOLD NIGHT WITH THE OLYMPIANS AT ANNUAL CONVENTION
     CAPE COD, Mass. – In conjunction with its upcoming annual convention and trade show in Albany, N.Y., the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), will be hosting two events honoring Olympians who were former ECAC student-athletes. Already confirmed for the event are Jeff Blatnick (Springfield College), Bill Cleary (Harvard University), John Gregorek (Georgetown University), Michelle Guerette (Harvard University/Radcliffe College), Jason Morris (Syracuse University), Zara Northover (Northeastern University) and Helen Resor (Yale University). Combined, those seven Olympians were selected to 14 Olympic teams and won six medals, including two golds and three silvers.

Morris is the owner and operator of the Glenville, NY based Jason Morris Judo Center (JMJC), 4x Olympian, 1992 Olympic Silver Medalist and now an Olympic head coach for the first time. JMJC's own Olympian, Travis Stevens (22) and Olympic Alternate, Jeremy Liggett (19) will be making the trip with Morris. Stevens (81kg) will compete on August 12. Liggett was chosen by USA Judo to attend the Olympics under it's "2012 hopeful" program.
